(Happy 38th Anniversary to Poppy & Grandmommy!)
So for the past week or a little more Wylan has been "almost" clapping....whenever we would clap and say, "YAY WYLAN" he would start waving both hands in the air...well as of yesterday (5th) his hands found each other and now he claps and loves it! It's the sweetest thing! Anytime he does something "good" we clap for him and he claps back.
And he still has a cough, but getting better....coughing and still smiling!

Also, yesterday...he pulled himself up for the first time! He was sitting in front of me..towards me...and leaned over with his arms out for me to pick him up...he finally grabbed my shoulders and pushed up completely by himself! Daddy was sitting on the couch watching (we were on the floor) so he saw it all! I sat him back down to see if it would happen again....& he did and even faster! I tried again, but he started crying like, "MOM! Stop sitting me back down I worked hard to get to you so HOLD ME!" HAHA....
And as of TONIGHT, he is standing up while holding on to a table or toy! As we kept practicing, he became braver and braver and even let go for a few seconds and stood all by himself!! Only for a few seconds..but seconds to a baby just starting out is probably hours! haha...Daddy missed it this time because he was out, but I caught some of it on video and lot's of pictures. Poor daddy was sad and texted me, "Stop!!" lol....We'll have to practice and show off his new skills in the morning for Daddy!

He has been jibber-jabbering a TON! Mostly "Da da da da" and "du du du du" and "bu bu bu bu bu bu"....and sometimes when he cries he may let out a "Ma ma ma ma ma" but this morning I kept saying "Ma ma Ma ma Ma ma" and he repeated it back! I HEARD MAMA!! It's about time!! haha....But as the day went on we were back on the Da da and Bu bu" waggon. Oh well, makes it that much more special when I hear it! haha I can only imagine how great it will be the day he puts his arms out to me and says, "Mama" clear as day! That will probably be one of the greatest days ever for me! I can't wait for him to say "I love you Mommy!" When that day comes you will probably find my melted body on the floor somewhere....probably tissue paper all around from all the TEARS! So much to look forward to!!!
Ok that's all the update for now...he'll be turning 9 months old soon, so more updates coming up from his 9 month checkup!
