Ready, set, take off!

HELLO BLOG WORLD!!

A friend of mine told me you can get your blogs printed into a scapbook!  I've always wanted to make a scrapbook for my little boy...and this is so much easier!! I type & post pics & someone else does all the work of making my book! I'm liking this already...So this is all for you my little angel.  Mommy loves you!  I have so much to share with you little one...so many pictures (your mom is a little obsessed with taking pictures which you will soon find out.  I hope I haven't already blinded you with my flash!)  all kinds of things; there's so much!

So where do I start?  How about from the beginning & we'll eventually get to the present....

Love at first sight?  For your dad, not me...haha..it was love at first sight on the second day of sight!  Freshman year, math class, your dad a NEW student, desks close by, a piece of paper and a pen asking for my number, but shot down, 2nd day...hooked in...IN LOVE!  However, we didn't start dating until our senior year....went off to college...got engaged in 2006...moved to Texarkana & married in 2007...Had our first baby (YOU) in April of 2010!  whew!

I wish I had a scanner...I've got some funny pictures of us in high school!  But for now, here are some from us graduating from college, then engagement, & wedding!!

Your dad's college graduation..UT Tyler, BSN RN
Your mom's college graduation (next day)...UT Tyler, BBA

Your dad surprised me after we got engaged (at his house) by having dinner at Benards (my favorite place to eat in Tyler) and his family was secretly waiting there ready to celebrate with us.
At our engagement party in Tyler.
An engagement picture your Aunt Stacey took of us.
And our engagement pictures taken by David James Photography.

Dum, Dum, Dum, Dummmmm....and WEDDING!
On July 7th, 2007 I married the love of my life, your dad!  And yes, we are one of the "7-7-7's" However, we didn't do it on purpose.....that was the only date our church and reception area had the same date available..."lucky us" haha.

My bridal portrait (this one is your dad's fav)

My handsome man, your handsome daddy!
My favorite of me & my older brother (your Uncle Gil).  This was taken (and we didn't know it) right before I walked down the aisle.  He was comforting his sister  =)

Right before walking down the aisle...we had to give one last touch & a try for a kiss...we were a little off! haha
My bridesmaids giving Blake a "wet willy"
My pretty girls....From right to left:  Cassy Meisenheimer (mother of John Henry!), Your Aunt Stacey, Your Aunt Laina, one of mommies best friends in high school Helen Eaton, Your second cousin Gladys Roraback Harms, Your Aunt Katelyn that's not looking at the camera, one of mommies friends from Tyler (mother of Ava), and one of mommies best friends from high school Jodie Shaw (mother of twins, Cash & Callie).  Just noticed my junior bridesmaid is missing from this pic, Your Aunt Joyce.

Those 2 pretty little girls in the front are your cousins, Khyra & Khiana (Khaela is missing because she was a new baby)

Blake & his groomsmen giving the "look-off"
Yes, I was crying down the aisle...but tears of joy!
My dad giving me away....makes me tear up remembering this time and seeing this picture.  I <3 my dad!
And we did it!  Mr. & Mrs. Blake Richard Rich
Right after! Kisses!  (but don't take off my lipstick! haha)
My flowers were ENORMOUS...pretty, but heavy.  Flower lady messed up, but we won't get into that...
Our first dance as man & wife
Your dad & his mom (Grandmommy)
My dad (Gran Gran) and I...I've never seen my dad dance, so this was a treat for me to get to dance with him.  I was smiling & laughing the whole time.
I think our cake was good...this was the only bite we had...& actually the only food we got to eat!  The chocolate groomsman's cake was devoured before we could taste it,  but we were too busy walking around thanking everyone for coming.  Note to self & to you when you are married eventually:  try not to have too large of a wedding or you'll get overwhelmed!  We were so tired from walking around (especially with a heavy dress on) we didn't really get to enjoy ourselves and we were starving!  Luckily the manager was awesome and saved us doggy bags to take home!  Good thinking Zach Lawrence!!

The End!  Or actually the beginning...
What's funny in this picture (but not at the time) someone balled up some rose petals and nailed me & your dad in the eyes!  We both got in the car complaining about being hit!haha
